                                                    BARITE on SPHALERITE
                                            Elmwood Mine, Smith Co., Tennessee 

On top of a very lustrous, dark black mound of Sphalerites perfectly sits a tan ball of Barite. This complete all around ball of Barite measures 1.5 x 1.25 x 1.25" and is at the uppermost reaches of this 4 x 3.75 x 3" specimen. The Sphalerite and the Barite are both in very good shape with no damage to the display face of this specimen.

                                                                FLUORITE
                                            Elmwood Mine, Smith Co., Tennessee 

These 3 main light purple Fluorite cubes combine to make a specimen that measures 2.25 x 1.75 x 1". There is no damage to any of the crystals and they all have darker purple coloring along the edges with clearer areas at the corners of the Fluorites. The largest crystal measures to 1.25 x 1".

                                               SPHALERITE on DOLOMITE


Perched between 2 sections of light grey Dolomite sits a dark reddish-brown, lustrous crystal of Sphalerite. The entire specimen measures 5 x 3.8 x 1.5 cm with the Sphalerite crystal measuring 2 x 2 x 1.5 cm. The Sphalerite is not complete all around but is in excellent condition on this front side.

                                              SPHALERITE on DOLOMITE


Sitting directly in the center of this light grey Dolomite matrix is a complete, all around, lustrous, reddish-brown Sphalerite crystal. The entire specimen measures 5.5 x 5 x 3.8 cm while the Sphalerite crystal measures 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.3 cm. As seen in the left image, there is some residual Sphalerite from crystals no longer present and this helps to keep the price reasonable.

                                                            FLUORITE


An interconnected group of Fluorite crystals measuring 4.6 x 2.8 x 3 cm. In regular overhead light, the crystals are a medium-dark purple color but with the light slightly behind the Fluorite, the edges are a more deep purple with the centers more clear. There is a tiny cleave on the left crystal.

                                                 CALCITE on FLUORITE


On a small grouping of light bluish-purple Fluorite sits a few, small Calcite crystals. The entire specimen measures 4.7 x 3.4 x 3 cm.

                                                              FLUORITE


A single, light purple Fluorite crystal with the clear “windows” prominent on either of the front corners of this 3.9 x 3.8 x 2.8 cm. specimen. Incomplete on the back and there is a small dent as seen in the right image.

                                                CALCITE on SPHALERITE


Numerous, small, tan, clear Calcite crystals are place randomly over the front face of a highly lustrous grouping of reddish-brown Sphalerite crystals. The entire specimen measures 7.8 x 6.3 x 3.6 cm. This specimen can be viewed from all sides.

FLUORITE on DOLOMITE


A small grouping of deep purple Fluorite crystal sits to one side on this 7.2 x 3 x 1.3 cm. The largest Fluorite crystal measures 1 x 0.9 x 0.7 cm. with other smaller Fluorites also present on the specimen.

SPHALERITE on DOLOMITE


Numerous, very highly lustrous Sphalerite crystals cover all sides of this 12 x 4.5 x 3 cm specimen. The Sphalerites are all in great condition and are most prominent on the side shown above, but are present on all sides. As you can see from the images above, when backlit, the Sphalerites take on a reddish color.

SPHALERITE on DOLOMITE


A single, multi terminated, very highly lustrous, reddish-brown Sphalerite crystal sits up boldly from a grey Dolomite matrix. The Sphalerite crystal measures 3 x 3 x 2.5 cm. with the entire specimen measuring 10 x 9 x 4.5 cm.  There are the remnants of another Sphalerite crystal that could be removed or trimmed away by someone with more trimming talents than me, as seen in the above images.
